Total Beginner Level 1:

This lesson covers the basics
of windsurfing and sailing in
general. You will learn
sailing theory, safety basics,
and how to ride your
windsurf! You will also
learn the basic turn.
Land and water instruction.
All beginner gear included.

Beginner Level 2:

You will improve your longboard sailing, directing the board to where you want to go. You will also learn fast tack and jibe theory and practice. Beach start. All beginner equipment is included. Can be taken as group or private.

Watersarting, Level 3:

Waterstarting. The key to the kingdom on Maui! Once you can waterstart sailing becomes much easier. Your personal coach will be in the water with you to guide you. This lesson cannot be taken in a group.

Intermediate Level 4:

Now that you can water start and direct the board easily you are ready to move on to shorter boards. This lesson is introduction to shortboard, using the harness and footstraps. Go from plowing through the water like a cruiseship to planing above it like a speedboat! No group lesson. Advanced gear available for rent, ask us about gear rental.

Intermediate Level 5:

Once you can plane it’s time to learn the planing jibe, the queen of windsurfing maneuvers. Our instructor will work with you on all aspects of jibing on the simulator and then in water. Advanced gear rental is available, ask about in house rental program.

Advanced sailing techniques, shortboard tacks, jumping, heli tack, wave sailing, looping. Advanced gear
available to rent for lesson

Location

Our lessons are mostly given at Kanaha Beach Park, at the end of the beach which is also called ‘uppers Kanaha’. For advanced lessons the location might change, your instructor will be in contact with you.
